GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Client Service Navigator supports Indigenous Job Seekers in accessing employment, training, and community supports through client-centered service navigation along with navigating supports, and employer engagement. The Navigator identifies and addresses barriers to employment, connecting clients with appropriate resources, and supports such as, employment readiness, placement, and retention. Key responsibilities will involve coordinating, documenting, and reporting on the clients progress.
AREA OF SUPERVISION:
• Reports to the Manager, CEIS Program.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the Blood Tribe Administration Policies and Procedures Manual.

CLIENT SERVICES & SERVICE NAVIGATION
-
Provide individualized employment support and service navigation to clients.
-
Assist clients in identifying employment, training, and career goals.
-
Identify barriers affecting employment readiness and labour market attachment.
-
Connect clients with wraparound supports such as housing, transportation, childcare, mental health, addiction services, financial resources, and other community supports.

Develop and maintain relationships with community agencies and referral partners.
-
Support clients in transitioning into employment, workplace integration, and long-term retention.

Maintain regular contact with clients, generally at least once every two weeks.
REPORTING & DOCUMENTATION

Complete Employment Readiness Assessments (ERA) and Disability Employment Readiness Assessments (DERA), where applicable.

Track client progress toward employment, employment readiness, and Workforce Development services.

Monitor and document outcomes of wraparound support referrals.

Ensure client documentation meets program, organizational, provincial, and funder requirements.

Complete employment follow-up at approximately 1, 3, 6, and 12 months.
EMPLOYMENT READINESS & WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT

Support clients with resumes, interview preparation, job search strategies, and employment readiness activities.

Facilitate or support employment and career-related workshops.

Assist clients in accessing training, certifications, and employment opportunities.

Monitor local labour market trends and opportunities relevant to client goals.

Support job fairs, employment events, and recruitment activities.
EMPLOYER ENGAGEMENT & EMPLOYER SERVICES

Develop positive relationships with local employers and industry partners.

Identify employment opportunities that match client skills and goals.
-
Promote the benefits of hiring Indigenous Job Seekers.

Support recruitment, job matching, and employer connection activities.
COMMUNITY OUTREACH & PARTNERSHIPS
-
Build relationships with community organizations, training providers, employers, and other service partners.
-
Promote employment programs and services in the community.
-
Participate in career fairs, community events, employer events, and recruitment initiatives.
-
Support development of a strong Wraparound Supports Referral Network.
-
Any other duties as assigned.
NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE, ABILITES AND SKILLS:
-
Experience in employment services, client navigation, workforce development, case management, or employer engagement.
-
Experience working with individuals experiencing barriers to employment.
-
Experience working with Indigenous communities is preferred.
-
Experience with client tracking databases is an asset.
-
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with clients, employers, community agencies, and service providers.

Must have previous experience working with indigenous clients and familiar with our culture and traditions

Must be culturally sensitive to native issues and barriers
Qualifications
NECESSARY TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

Must have a Business Administration Diploma or a related field such as Human Services with 3 years related work experience

A combination of experience and experience may be considered

Must have a valid drivers license and a reliable mode of transportation.
